Peder Garnaas-Halvorson

MS-STEP (2018)

Peder was a Master's of Science in Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy student at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs focusing on the nexus between international climate change policy and international development. Peder is co-founder of the organization Mwendo Congo, which works to support partners working for health, education, and peace in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. This past summer Peder was in Uganda working to establish Kaloli Energy, a social enterprise working to improve the distribution of waste based briquettes to displace charcoal use.

When not working, Peder is imagining or building strange transforming furniture made with the cheapest materials he can get his hands on.
