Kristen Peterson

Kristen Peterson is a second-year student studying Science, Technology and Environmental Policy (STEP) at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs. Prior to beginning graduate school, Kristen worked on a variety of sustainability and renewable energy initiatives at the Great Plains Institute in Minneapolis and implemented an improved recycling system at Metro Transit. Kristen earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Minnesota studying Environmental Sciences, Policy and Management (ESPM), and she is now happy to be returning to school to focus on the energy field. In her free time, Kristen enjoys hiking, rock climbing, speaking French, cooking, and swimming in as many lakes and streams as she can find.
